Health Information Technology Certification Program
Participants must have knowledge of basic computer software applications such as Word and Email.
To successfully complete the program, the participant must engage in all three phases (online course, internship and/or project, certification exam).
Students are expected to dedicate at least 4 – 6 hours per week for coursework.
The internship phase will either consist of intern hours or an employment project, depending upon participants’ employment and education status/needs described in this application and through advisor feedback.
The AHIMA CHTS (Certified Health care Technology Specialist) is required upon completion of coursework and intern/project phase.
There are two supplemental conferences during the program. Participants in the program are required to attend at least one of those. If you are enrolling in the spring, you will only have one conference offered.
